User Manual | Solver settings | GRIB input scaling (A)

(These setting are enabled through the application preferences.)

These settings are all considered to be advanced. Most sailors will not need them.

Wind speed scale.

Some sailors come to believe that a particular weather model consistently forecasts wind speed too high, or low. This scale factor allows you to adjust the velocity of all GRIB wind speeds.

Wave height scale.

This value will probably be rarely used. However, if you want to apply a scale to all GRIB wave height data, this is the setting that allows that.

Current speed scale.

If enabled, this scale is applied to all ocean current speeds.

One possible use of this would be, if you feel the ocean current data is unreliable, you could deemphasize it by having the solver scale it down.
